About ER 70S6
ER70S-6 is a widely used solid carbon steel MIG welding wire (GMAW) known for its high manganese and silicon content, acting as deoxidizers to produce high-quality, smooth, porosity-free welds on mild steels, even with moderate rust or scale, offering excellent weldability with Argon/CO2 mixes and suitable for general fabrication, automotive, and structural work.

ER: Electrode or Rod.70: Minimum tensile strength of 70,000 PSI (pounds per square inch).S: Solid wire.6: Indicates high levels of silicon and manganese deoxidizers for better performance on less-than-perfect surfaces.
Benefits & Uses:
- Superior Deoxidation: High Si/Mn content cleans the weld pool, making it excellent for rusty, oily, or mill-scaled steel.
- Smooth Welds: Produces a stable arc, low spatter, and a smooth weld bead with good puddle fluidity.
- Versatile: Suitable for single-pass and multi-pass welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Applications: General fabrication, automotive parts, tanks, and structural components in heavy industry, oil & gas.
Shielding Gas:
- Commonly used with 75/25% Argon/CO2 mixes, but also works with pure CO2 or higher argon mixtures.

- Ductility: Good elongation and reduction in area
