About NICALLOY Fe3

Nicalloy Fe-3 is a high-performance, basic-coated electrode depositing a tough Ni-Cr-Fe (Inconel-type) weld metal, excellent for joining dissimilar metals like nickel alloys to carbon steels, offering superior corrosion/heat resistance from cryogenic to high temps (around 480C) and good crack resistance, used in chemical plants, refineries, and for furnace components.

Key Features:

Composition: Ni-Cr-Fe type deposit (Nickel-Chromium-Iron).
Coating: Basic type, providing excellent weld properties.
Properties: Ductile, resistant to thermal shock & hot cracking, with outstanding strength and corrosion resistance.
Temperature Range: Works from cryogenic (-196C) up to high temperatures (around 480C).
Versatility: All-positional welding capability (except vertical down).

Applications:

Dissimilar Welding: Joining Ni-Cr-Fe alloys (like Inconel 600) to themselves, carbon steels, stainless steels, or low alloy steels.
Corrosion Resistance: Ideal for fabricating tanks, furnace parts, and components in chemical plants, refineries, and heat exchangers.
Overlay: Can be used for cladding/surfacing for enhanced corrosion/heat resistance (requires minimum 3 layers).
